Location

La Résidence Phou Vao is located 4 km east of Luang Prabang International Airport and only 2km from the old town of Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The town is beautifully-preserved, featuring traditional Lao architecture and European colonial buildings, set at the remote and peaceful confluence of the Mekong and Nam Kam rivers.

It enjoys a unique location as the only hotel in Luang Prabang built on Phou Vao hill - translated as the hill of the kites. This vantage point affords panoramic views looking out over the countryside.

Daily flights run to Luang Prabang International Airport from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and China. 

Please note that visitors are not allowed to rent cars for self-drive in Laos. Rental cars must be hired with a driver.
